Faculty Research Dissemination Day Brings Research to Practice

The Faculty of Health Sciences, supported by the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care and the Elgon Centre for Health Research and Innovation, held a full-day Research Dissemination Day on 28 November 2023 at the Human Manpower Development Centre.

Twenty-one presentations were delivered: thirteen by bachelor’s or master’s students and eight by senior researchers and university staff. Sessions covered chronic illness, maternal and adolescent health, community health, mental health and well-being, and surgery and perioperative care. The event attracted 46 participants from the community, Mbale Regional Referral Hospital, Busitema University, ELCHRI, MCRI, and SAFRI.
