Associate Professor



Dan Kibuule, a Pharmacist and clinical pharmacologist, has 18-years academic, research and leadership expertise in pharmacy and clinical pharmacology. Kibuule has been instrumental in advancing academic and research programmes in Eastern and Southern Africa. He is a key member of several movements to strengthen pharmaceutical education and research in Africa – including the FIP Education and Hospital Section, Medicine Utilization Research in Africa Group (MURIA) and ISPE- Africa chapter, as has served as well as an ExCo Member of the ACPs of FIP. Dan Kibuule has published widely in clinical pharmacology, pharmacoepidemiology, medicine utilization research and pharmacy education. Throughout his career, he has received various meritorious awards for academic, leadership and research excellence. As a pharmacist, he has worked in various portfolios including Clinical trial pharmacist in areas of HIV, TB and hypertension, medicines information expert, Hospital pharmacist and recently completed his assignment under Strengthening Pharmaceutical systems (SPS/USAID) project. Dan is a holder of B.Pharmacy (Hons), MSc. Clinical Pharmacology from Makerere University Kampala and PhD in Clinical Pharmacology of Tuberculosis. Dan is a young visionary and result oriented professional/academic with diverse skills in pharmacy. His vision is African countries working to foster centers of excellence for pharmaceutical education, research and leadership.
