Kiyimba Kennedy is a Pharmacologist, holds a Master’s of science degree in Pharmacology from Kampala International University and a Bachelors’ Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology from Makerere University Kampala. I am a Lecturer and a researcher in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Faculty of Health sciences, Busitema University. Currently undertaking a PhD programme in Pharmacology directed towards Synthesizing Silver nanoparticles from Natural sources for treatment of uterine fibroids. My research interests includes infectious diseases, cancer, drug development, Pharmacometrics and Nanomedicines. I have participated as a researcher in the VLIRUOS funded project that was aimed at “Tracking and mapping antimicrobial resistance in Eastern Uganda. I am a cerified Big data analyst, trained by International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI). I have expertise in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics, trained by Pharmacometrics Africa under auspices of Centre for Research in Threapeutic sciences (CREATES), Strathmore University. I am a researcher under Busitema University Natural Products and drug development research group, a group currently undertaking research to formulate a herbal remedy for management of COVID-19, funded by the Government of Uganda. I am a member of Uganda Pharmacological society (UPharS) and Pharmacometrics Africa.
