Mr. Octavious Ahimbisibwe is a Medical Laboratory Technologist with a Bachelor of Biomedical Laboratory Technology from Makerere University. His undergraduate research focused on the ability of microorganisms (normal flora) to reduce aflatoxins in animal feeds.
Currently, he is working as a Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and assisting in conducting histology practicals in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Busitema University Faculty of Health Sciences. In leadership, He is a representative of the Faculty to Busitema University Support Staff Association, a Youth director Rotaract Club of Mbale (2021/2022) and A Patron to Rotaract Club of Busitema. He is a member of the Faculty Quality Assurance Committee and a Laboratory technician in charge of the Quality Control of Busitema University Hand sanitizer Project. His areas of research interest are in drug discovery, genomics’ in drug discovery, herbal medicine, curative food, aflatoxin reducing agents and disease diagnosis.
